Where to start with the Overlord show report 2017, every year it gets better and bigger. They claim to be “The South coast’s premier military show” in this there can be no doubt. With over 250 military vehicles on show, from a very small Royal Enfield Flying Flea motorcycle to some impressive Armoured vehicles.
Another display was in the Living history field, a truly magnificent effort made by all the groups involved.
In the arena there were vehicle demonstrations together with the reenactors putting on a very spectacular mock battle display
Organised by the SOE Military vehicle club, the show was once again a great success well attended by military vehicles, reenactors and the public. The Overlord Show is not one to be missed, make sure you put it in the diary for next year. We were pleased to speak to the military vehicle enthusiasts at the show, and were surprised at just how many were going to Normandy for the D Day celebrations. Classic Jeeps will be in Normandy again this year. The gallery is a small selection of Military vehicles and reenactors displays.
